Having grown up in the city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Jarrod was curious from a young age to explore design while working at his parents interior stores. He received his Bachelors and Masters degree from Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business before beginning his professional career.
In 2021 Jarrod began helping an old Tulane teammate out with his own construction startup — later finding themselves aiding in the rescue of many homes during the aftermath of Hurricane Ida. Jarrod found a passion for New Orleans’ rich architectural history and style, which birthed a deep dive into learning the traditional design and construction principles found here in New Orleans and surrounding areas.
Jarrod founded Franklin Construction & Design in the fall of 2021— committing himself to helping the residents of New Orleans with fine custom renovations, complex construction, and boutique commercial work.
Junior spent his youth growing up in Juticalpa, Honduras, where he learned from mentors about building construction and trade skills. He later would move to Louisiana to continue his passion.
Junior plays a big role in the daily operations and management of everyday clientele. His creativity, attention to detail, and sense of curiosity stem from a background with over 10 years of experience in residential carpentry/framing. During this time, he has taught many others the art of this trade, who are currently following his leadership.
Junior continues to find passion in being inspired by his surroundings of New Orleans; various skilled trades and other artisans.
